For Ages 4 to 7Featuring unique retro styling and a
heavy-duty steel construction, the Schwinn Roadster is a great
choice for your youngster's first big wheel tricycle. It has a low center of
gravity thanks to a wider profile back, which offers added stability
to prevent tipping. Being low to the ground also makes it easier to
push with the feet. The swoopy steel frame has an easy step-through
design so your tyke will be comfortable and ready to ride.
The Roadster has a bucket seat with an opening on the back for easy
carrying, and the seat can be adjusted underneath with twist knob
(no tools needed) to five different positions. The handlebars have
textured grips and raised ends that help keep the hands from
slipping off, and the handlebars can be adjusted using a wrench. The
pedals offer colored rubber accents that also provide extra gripping
so shoes don't slide off. It also features air-filled tires--12
inches in front, 8 inches in the back--which provide a smoother ride
over bumpy surfaces.
Features
- Low center of gravity to
prevent tip-overs
- Adjustable, sculpted seat for optimum comfort and support

Its extremely safe. We tried so many models
in different stores and none come close to this one. The back
wheels are wide set with large wheels for great stability. All
wheels are bycycle-type instead of hard plastic. My daughter can
STAND in the seat and turn the wheel (no, we didn't advocate this
when she did it) and it won't tip over! Worth the price and will
probably last forever! Go Schwinn!

I combed through dozens of reviews for
trikes for toddlers before deciding to buy this one for my son who
just turned 2. It was a hit! Both with my little boy and with me
and my husband. It looks great and rides smoothly. It is also
quite easy to assemble and I like that the seat can be adjusted so
my son will not outgrow it quickly. Some reviews indicated that it
is heavy but I think that is a plus because it does not topple
over easily. None of the trikes we tried in the stores can compare
with this one. It may be a bit pricier but it is well-made and
sturdy and definitely worth the price tag.

You are so close to purchasing the Perfect
tricyle. Do not bother to search any further than this well
designed and manufactured, piece of equipment! Having wanted to
find a tricyle that incorporated the "Good Old Days" look/feel,
with todays ride quality, I found it in this Schwinn!! Upon
opening and assembling the bike, my expectations were met and
slightly exceeded. The assembly was super easy and fast! The Red
Chassis is beautifully shaped and the Vibrant paint looks and
feels fantastic. The wood step and "chrome" fenders flow nicely
with the wide rear stance of the bike giving it a fantastic, well
balanced ride. With an adjustable seat that sits at a low center
of gravity helps keep the bike sturdy while this new rider is
pushing it with his feet. The handlebars look and function equally
well. It's wide sling back design, provides an easy reach, also
the steering requires light input and is very smooth. And all of
this goodness is riding on 3 nicely treaded rubber tires that
actually have air in them. Basically, it does not get any better
or easier! A wonderful product, delivered to your door in short
order and free, all at half the cost of the bike itself!! If all
my purchases went this well, I'm not sure what I would do with the
extra time and money! P.S. I did remove the bell. The sound was
awful and I did not like the look.

We bought this trike for my 3 y.o. son last
Christmas. We all love it. It's very impressive looking, and we
love the handlebars with leather fringe, as well as the seat with
a back- which is why we call the "Harley". We have gotten a ton of
compliments on this trike while riding around the neighborhood,
and my son is so proud of it. The best part about this trike is
the rubber wheels. They give awesome traction and make for a very
smooth ride, esp on the sidewalk or blacktop. My son loves the
bell, and rides through our neighborhood ringing it at anyone and
everything. The only bad thing was that one of the wheels was
shipped ever so slightly slightly warped, but not enough to cause
problems with the ride. It just makes a little squeak noise and
looks like it wobbles a little bit. This is definitely a must have
for the older toddler that is not quite ready for a bicycle.

This was a nice (and less expensive)
alternative for our 6 yr. old w/special needs-to be able to get on
& off of without falling (he's physically uncoordinated)-low to
the ground and he can pedal pretty easily. It was significantly
less than the special needs tricycles we priced, and his normal
functioning 4 year old brother has a blast on it-making freakishly
fast turns on wood floors inside (Ha!) It is pretty wide, though,
so we insist he slows down around corners-lots of scrapes on our
cabinetry as he circles the kitchen island, etc.! (The back tire
spokes scrape things.)
The back tire went flat about a week or so after we got it at
Xmas, so we called the company purchased from & they sent us 2
replacement tubes (custom type size) within 5 days or so at no
charge. They were apologetic & said these were from a diff.
manufacturer & should be fine. So far so good!
